The planning for the academy is coming along. We have discussed the activities for the academy: PowerPoint, doorway(computer activity), and fill-in chart. Veronica and myself are taking the lead with this task.
The PowerPoint is ready! It can be found in my USB in the "A-G Lesson" folder.
The A-G (puzzle) activity is ready. I laminated the pieces and placed them in an envelope on the desk shelf.
I also came up with an alternative activity: Breakfast a la College.
Veronica please see what I have so far. Everything can be found in my USB in the "A-G Lesson" folder the documents are titled: "College Menu" and "Breakfast Plate."
The A-G Puzzle chart has been completed. This is where the students will be correctly placing the the appropriate a-g letter, subject, years required, or years reccomended.
I also completed sample ice breaker questions to pe put on a beach ball.
I created a sample agenda for this academy. A copy will be in the desk. The general program consists of: the PowerPoint presentation, doorways website exploration, and the A-G puzzle.
May Leadership Academy!!!! The student project presentations might be directed by the Scout Island staff. If so, we should prepare scripts that incorporate everything learned from each academy. I have four scenarios so far they will also be in the desk. Veronica and Jose please take a minute to read it and offer advice. As of now, the four plays would require 10 students. Please think of another scenario, or changing the plays to have (3-4) characters.
